The main form of public transportation in Pittsburgh is the PRT (Pittsburgh Regional Transit) which operates buses throughout the city.

Common Routes

PIT → David L. Lawrence Convention Center

  • Ride Bus 28X (Airport Flyer) for 16 stops until you reach Seventh Ave + William Penn Place. From there, walk about 0.3 miles to get to the Convention Center.
  • Estimated Time: 50 minutes

Interesting bus routes to explore:

  • 54 (North Side → Oakland → South Side)
  • 64 (Lawrenceville → Waterfront)
  • 87 (Friendship)

Fares & Payment

Information about fares can be found below, but here are some general fare prices to keep in mind:

  • Fare Information
  • 3-Hour Pass: $2.75 (Unlimited rides for 3 hours)
  • Day Pass: $7.00 (Unlimited rides for 1 day)

While there are many ways to pay fares for the PRT, we recommend using their mobile ticketing system for convenience. The PRT supports many transit apps, but we recommend that you use the Ready2Ride app as it is the official partner of the PRT.
